International American University, last week, hosted Summer Orientation 2016. The week-long event is designed for new students to become accustomed to living and studying in Saint Lucia.

Orientation began with opening remarks by Dr. Patrick J. Gannon, chief academic officer, welcoming students to campus.

Students were given the opportunity to learn how to live as island residents, learn stress and time management techniques, meet with the Student Government Association and learn about student clubs and organizations.

Students were also able to meet with mentors and advisors before officially enrolling in and registering for classes. The week concluded with the University’s White Coat Ceremony. Guest speaker for the ceremony was Mr. Eldridge Stephens, OBE a Former Saint Lucia High Commissioner.
