SGA held their first outreach program of the Spring 2020 semester on March 1, 2020 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. This event was supervised by Dr. James and Dr. Prakash. Students and faculty visited Comfort Bay Nursing Home in Black Bay. The students also dropped off the donations they have collected for the nursing home. The students got a chance to take blood pressure, pulse, and were able to conduct a partial physical examination. Students also got a chance to interact and were able to spend some valuable time with the elderly. This was a way for the students to give back to the community. It also helped the students practice their bedside manners and put into practice some of the clinical skills they have learned throughout the semesters. SGA is really looking forward to doing more activities that will help give back to the community that we live in.
