International American University welcomed all new student during it’s January 2016 New Student Orientation event, 3-6 January.
Organized by Student Services, the event is designed to connect new students with current students and faculty. The goal of the many workshops and seminars during orientation are aimed at helping students acclimate to island life as well as the rigors of medical school.
2016 New Student Orientation opened with a guided tour of Saint Lucia. Other events included a guide to survive island life, a student clubs and organizations fair as well class registration day. Dr. Radbeh Torabi, integrated plastic surgery resident at Louisiana State University, student Orientation concluded with the celebration of the White Coat Ceremony.
During his visit, Dr. Torabi also presented, “What does it takes to become a successful resident.”
The event concluded with the White Coat Ceremony on 8 January.
