As part of supporting the Community beyond Vieux Fort, the IAU chapter of the American Medical Students Association organized the first community clinic for the summer 2014 semester on Sunday, June 1st 2014. It was an exciting opportunity to travel to the community of Micoud. It had a participation of 200 people from and around Micoud. 15 students from various semesters attended the Clinics with the direction of the Dean of Student Affairs – Dr. Rasheed Agboola. They had the following checkups done – Heart rate/Pulse, Blood pressure, Respiratory rate, Heart Auscultation, Lung Auscultation and Blood Glucose as well as information on hypertension.
