Upon entering IAU I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I didn’t know if I would have made it through the first two weeks, but I did. When it came to medical school, everyone told me that it was going to be tough and challenging, but I was so ready to start my new venture. During the first week of classes, I was a bit overwhelmed and felt consumed with the amount of pressure. The second week rolled in and I began loving classes. I would tell myself, “you got this and you’re going to get through med school because this is something that you’ve always wanted” One thing that I like about IAU is the small class size, it makes it very easy for the professor to have that one-on-one interaction with their students. The professors challenge you beyond your limits, which makes you always want to push yourself to be great.
