“International American University (IAU) provides a comprehensive foundation of the basic sciences as well as an opportunity to gain US Clinical Experience (USCE) in many different fields of study, in different geographical locations. The experience at IAU provided me with the ability to obtain USMLE scores among the nations average making my application competitive alongside American Medical Graduates (AMG). I was able to secure a residency in Transitional Year, a field known to be less International Medical Graduate (IMG) friendly, currently 93% AMG, 7% IMG. I will now have the flexibility to explore my interests in PMnR, Neurology and Psychiatry and have the option to enter an advanced position in my preferred interest.”
