International American University formed a partnership with the Red Cross of Saint Lucia in February 2017.  “The Saint Lucia Red Cross IAU College” is now an affiliation of the Saint Lucia Red Cross and is the first and only representing body in the southern community of Vieux Fort.

This affiliation is aimed at feeding the poor, clothing the needy in the community, giving basic health checks to the sick and shut-ins, and assisting the Saint Lucia Red Cross whenever necessary through fundraisers, clothes drives etc.

Ms. Surabhi Brarath, the President of the Saint Lucia Red Cross IAU College club, is supported by the Vice President, Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Media Coordinator and the southern volunteers of Saint Lucia Red Cross. These posts are held, in order, by Saran Krishnan hari, Ashlie Ann Joby and Leshontae Missick, Gessel Morales, and Nitya Susan Wilson.

The SLRC-IAU College is looking forward to celebrating International Red Cross Day on May 8th 2017 by holding a Community Clinic Day through our free student-run clinic at the IAU Campus. The last event at the student-run clinic, which was open to the public saw a total of 90 patients. IAU is excited to open it up to the public once again in its continuous efforts to give back to the Saint Lucian community.
