Personal Statement

Your personal statement should explain why you’re pursuing a career in medicine, what makes you a potential asset to IAUCOM, and any significant accomplishments or additional information that the Admissions Committee should know when the IAUCOM team reviews your application.

Include the following:

  • Your purpose for considering a career in medicine
  • Why you would be an asset to IAUCOM
  • Your significant activities or accomplishments, personal interests, unique aspects of your pre-medical preparation and any additional information that would help the Admissions Committee in the evaluation of your application.

All personal statements should be typed with 1.5 line spacing, with a maximum of 500 words and should include your full name. Plagiarism will disqualify applicants from consideration. View tips for medical school application essay
