According to an official press release by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), 2017’s match results were the largest in its history. “A record-high 35,969 U.S. and international medical school students and graduates vied for 31,757 positions, the most ever offered in the Match.”
Match takes place in March of each year and it is during this time that applicants learn the location and specialty of the residency programs where they will train for the next three to seven years.
IAU has had a strong record of graduate success with students matching into competitive specialties and at well-known hospitals throughout the US and Canada. Many graduates are currently doing fellowships after their residency training.
