International American University College of Medicine hosted its Fall 2018 New Student Orientation on September 3rd & 4th at the campus in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia.  Professor and Dean of Basic Sciences, Dr. James Villanueva conducted the event and welcomed all of the students, parents & guest who were in attendance. Dr. Villanueva led the orientation covering academic policies, campus rules, exam procedures, discipline and various committee operations on campus. Providing a full understanding to the students as to what to expect moving forward in their medical careers.

Dr. Rasheed Agboola, Dean of Student Affairs was also in attendance for the New Student Orientation. He presented information on student life at IAU and life in the Island. Dr. Aleric Soans, Associate Professor, presented the students with different study techniques which will ensure their success at IAU.

The new incoming students were also introduced to: a representatives from NAGICO, Bank of Saint Lucia (BOSL), a local member of the police and fire departments. These individuals provided key information about the Island of St. Lucia in addition to assisting the new students with needed information on how to adjust to their new living environment. IAU is appreciative to all that made the Fall 2018 New Student Orientation a great success!
