On Thursday September 29, faculty and staff welcomed fifteen students from the Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School for the SGA sponsored event, “IAU Student Mentor Day.” As part of the days activities; visiting students were paired with medical students and sat-in on a variety of classes from the Basic Sciences program. At lunch, students were welcomed by the Executive Dean, Dr. Alan Wabrek, who shared words of wisdom and encouraged students to not be disheartened by the level of difficulty of material taught but rather to stay motivated and work hard to accomplish their goals for the future. Those in attendance were impressed by the testimonials shared by students of their experiences from their assigned morning classes and look forward to inviting more students to IAU in the future.
