Riveting competition at the 5th IAU Hoop it up 2011

As part of its community outreach program the Student Government Association (SGA) of IAU held its 5th Hoop It Up basketball competition and a health fair at Vieux-Fort, which attracted much public participation.Spectators had much to cheer about as they witnessed some dazzling display of basketball by the twelve teams

As part of its community outreach program the Student Government Association (SGA) of IAU held its 5th Hoop It Up basketball competition and a health fair at Vieux-Fort, which attracted much public participation.Spectators had much to cheer about as they witnessed some dazzling display of basketball by the twelve teams from various parts of the island who took part in the competition. They also made full use of the opportunity to check their blood pressure and cholesterol level during the entire event.

At the end of the competition it was The Jets, Castries who came out victorious, winning a prize of E.C $1, 500.00 and a trophy. The second place went to BB C who won cash amounting to $750.00 and a trophy and the third place went to Maze Snipperz who won $500.00 and a trophy.After the event, at which community spirit overflowed the players expressed satisfaction in the manner the tournament went and expressed their willingness to take part in the next tournament.
