Located in Saint Lucia, International American University College of Medicine provides a unique experience for students who wish to become medical doctors, and for educators who wish to live abroad and make a difference in the future of healthcare, both locally and globally. Most of our students pursue their medical careers in the United States.

Comparable to medical education in the United States, our curriculum consists of two major facets: basic sciences and clinical sciences. All basic science courses are taught in Saint Lucia, and clinical sciences are carried out in the United States. Our unique basic science curriculum is focused on integration of lecture- and case-based instruction (problem-based learning), which is used at some of the most innovative universities in Canada and the United States.

Our quickly increasing student population demands that we proceed in the hiring of both full-time and part-time instructors in most basic science disciplines including anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and behavioral sciences.

We desire individuals who will play an active role in the continued development of our basic science program in Saint Lucia, and who have a strong commitment to educational excellence. Applicants must be highly-qualified and highly-motivated individuals who are committed to medical education. The qualified individual should possess an M.D. or Ph.D. in their respective discipline. We will consider retired physicians who have a background in medical education and are committed to teaching.
