According to an official press release by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), the 2018 Main Residency Match is the largest ever recorded with about 44,000 registered applicants and more than 33,000 positions offered.  Match Day takes place in March of each year and it is during this time that applicants learn the location and specialty of the residency programs where they will train for the next three to seven years. Learning is far from over at this point as these years will sculpt a student based on their specialization.  IAU has had a strong record of graduate success with students matching into competitive specialties and at well-known hospitals throughout the US and Canada.
